Find a quote

Find a quote from Othello which shows deception/dishonesty. Write the quote in proper MLA format, paraphrase the quote in your own words, tell who said it, to whom, what or who is he/she referring to, and explain how this is an example of deception or dishonesty.

  1. Brabantio,"Look to her, Moor. if thou hast eyes to see.
    She has deceived her father, and may thee."(1.3.293)
    The quote means that Brabantio is warning Othello that if Desdemona could lie to her father, she could lie to Othello too.
    Brabantio said that to Othello and he was talking about Desdemona.
    This is an example for deception or dishonesty because he was talking about lying.

    Brabantio is talking to Othello meaning Desdemona has lie to her father once so she could lie to Othello again.

    Barbantio is talking and he is talking to Othello about Desdemona. She has lied to her father and may be Othello. This is an example of dishonesty because Barbantio feels betrayed that Desdemona has lied to him.

    Speaker: Othello
    Meaning: Iago has confinced to Othello he is an honest person, now Othello is believing everything Iago is telling him.

    The quote means: Iago told Cassio he wants to help out of kindness. However, he is using Cassia as part of his evil plan to againts Othello.
    Exlpain: Iago doesn't want to help Cassio, but he want to use him to hurt somebody else...
