  1. Iago is saying the quote and he is talking to himself about how to take Cassio job and get him away from Othello. This is in the jealous satisfies because Iago just thought how can take orther people job.

    Meaning: Iago hates Othello not only because Othello gave Cassio promotion, but Iago thinks that Othello slept with his wife. He wants to get revange on Othello and Cassio.

  9. I think Iago saying this because he know that Cassio trust him. He want to use him to get Othello mad and Othello will think that Desdemona cheated on him. His devil plan has started. If his plan success, he will become Othello's lieutenant.
